Photographer George Logan brings his passion for animal welfare to his long-standing work with the Born Free Foundation and their partner, Land Rover, who are a major partner and supporter of the Born Free Foundation. George was recently commissioned to shoot a campaign for Born Free and to show the vehicles in the field in Amboselli, in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, and in The Masai Mara (both in Kenya).
One of the operations Born Free undertake in Amboselli is to help create ‘Lion-proof Bomas.’ A Boma is the traditional enclosure where the Masai tribe keep their cattle. Historically there have been problems when Lions breach these fences and take cattle….which leads to the Masai spearing or poisoning the Lions. The Born Free re-enforced Bomas keep the Lions out and hopefully stop the Lion population suffering accordingly.
George also had the honor of shooting the 2016 Born Free Calendar available here.
